(Not all GPs are available on all days) 

All consultations are by appointment only

Making an Appointment

Patients are registered with the Practice rather than an individual doctor. You may consult with any of the doctors by making a routine appointment.

To make an appointment, please telephone the surgery (028 9260 3090) between 8.30am and 6.00pm. When making an appointment, you can express a preference for a particular doctor. If your specified doctor is fully booked or unavailable due to absence, this will be explained to you and you will be offered an appointment with one of the other doctors. Normal appointments are for 10 minutes and for the named patient only.

Urgent appointments are available every day and should be requested as soon as possible after 8.30am. This will be with the first available doctor and may not be with the doctor of your choice. These appointments are for 5 minutes and only your urgent problem will be dealt with.

Interpreter services are available for patients whose first language is not English and for patients who have a hearing impairment. Requests for these services should be made through Reception at the time of booking your appointment. interpreter is required, please let Reception know when booking your appointment.

Home Visits

Home visits are for patients unable to attend the surgery because of severe illness or disability and should be requested before 10.00am. Please be advised that difficulties with transport or childcare arrangements are not valid reasons for requesting home visits.

It is important to attend the surgery if at all possible, as this enables us to carry out necessary investigations when required.

Telephone Advice                                                               

If you wish to speak to a doctor for urgent medical advice, please phone 028 9260 3090 during surgery hours and indication to Reception staff the nature of your enquiry.  A doctor will contact you that day.  If you wish to speak to a specific doctor then you will be advised by the receptionist when they will be able to return your call.

Treatment Room

Referral is usually by GP to the Blood Room and Treatment Room 3.

A blood test, blood pressure check and/or urine testing can be done without an appointment in the Blood Room on the Ground Floor.

Opening times for the Blood Room are:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday         9.00am - 12.30pm and 3.00pm - 5.30pm
Wednesday                                            9.00am - 12.45pm

For all other treatments or procedures, you will need to book an appointment with the Treatment Room 3 on Level 3.

Phone-in times to book an appointment are:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday         12.30pm - 12.45pm and 5.30pm - 5.45pm
Wednesday                                            11.45am - 12.00 noon

Letters requesting your attendance for blood and/or urine checks for specific clinics should also be presented at Treatment Room 3 at the specified times on the letter.

Improved Access

The Practice now offers access to the doctors or Practice Nurse within two working days.  Requests should be made in the usual way through Reception.  It should be noted that this may not be with the GP of  your choice and can take the form of a telephone conversation.
